When I was living in Amsterdam, I used to get my exercise by wandering the canal ring by bike or on foot. I was so struck by so many things in this shot I had to take it. I love the arch over the door, I find the Fall leaves so charming on the arch, the wreath darling, and of course that Amsterdammer (the pole with the xxx) right in front of the door. I couldn’t help but wonder if it were strategically placed there or if it was just by chance. Either way, this all makes such a charming entry, don’t you think?
