At a certain point in January I get a very strong desire to surround myself with flowers… lots of beautiful flowers. I usually end up planting amaryllis or buying lilies in the local florist shop, but I’m always thinking – well – bigger. This is usually when I start fantasizing about getting back to Europe for Spring, and more specifically to Keukenhof. The Keukenhof Garden has “more than 7 million tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths fill that over 32 hectares with color and fragrance” according to their website. If that just sounds like a bunch of numbers to you, don’t be fooled… it is spectacular! I have been multiple times, shooting hundreds of photos each time. Next time you’re in the Netherlands between March and May, be sure to visit this spectacular garden.
