I often get DMs and emails from you all asking for recommendations for accommodations around France. Paris has hundreds of hotels, so there’s truly something for everyone. But when I think about the questions I get from my audience on a daily basis, you all more often than not are asking me for recommendations for hotels with a certain level of quality.
This post provides a list of options that I have either tried myself, visited and been impressed by, or heard wonderful things about. I’ve chosen mostly centrally-located hotels, as I know you all love to wander Paris on foot (or by bike!), as I do. They are grouped by neighborhood and you’ll find a map for quick viewing at the bottom of the post. I hope you find something here to serve as a great home base for your next trip to Paris.
Even if you don’t end up selecting one of these hotels, I do recommend avoiding hotels in what they call the “Triangle d’Or” or right near the Champs-Elysées. This area isn’t what it once was (now full of chains stores you can often find in your home country or at the very least in another more charming area of Paris) and there are now many pickpockets because of how touristy it is. Avenue George V is perhaps the exception to this rule, as it has several fabulous luxury accommodations in Paris. They are certainly worth considering for a high tea, a drink, or a meal.
